About

Intelligence, cyber, and AI in defence.

Iron Command is an independent defence intelligence channel and advisory practice. We publish operator-grade analysis on platform capability, state cyber threat, and AI in defence — built on a methodology developed over thirteen years of intelligence and cyber work.

Ben Brand

Ben Brand

Founder & Lead Analyst · Iron Command

Former British Army intelligence analyst with thirteen years across intelligence analysis and cyber operations — nine years of British Army intelligence analysis (HUMINT, OSINT, targeting, collection management) and four-plus years of cyber consultancy, including current engagement inside UK government.

Ben founded Iron Command to apply military-grade analytical methodology to publicly-available sources — closing the gap between mainstream defence commentary and how intelligence actually gets written inside operational headquarters.

Iron Command Advisory is the solo, operator-delivered consulting practice — capability assessment, threat analysis, red team work, and wargame design for ministries, primes, programme offices, and the institutions that train them.

The SITREP Method

Every Iron Command assessment follows a structured analytical framework derived from operational intelligence practice: Sources, Identify, Timeline, Risk, Evaluate, Present.

The outcome is an Iron Command Assessment — a bold analytical call with confidence rating. Not a news summary, not a hot take. The same kind of product you'd read in an operational J2 shop, adapted for a public audience.
